Many research topics we started working on 20 and 30 years ago, i.e., recreation specialization, diversity issues, satisfaction and substitution decision making are still of interest to us today, Likewise, we continue to focus on the human dimensions of fishing tournaments, artificial reefs, and charter and party boat fisheries. Recently, we have begun to work collaboratively with economists, make use of multi-dimensional modeling techniques and expand our research focus to the human dimensions of wildlife resources, i.e., wildlife watching and coral reef management. We hope our research is of interest to you and that if you have additional questions or information needs, you will be in touch with us. Finally, we want to thank all of the public agencies and private foundations that have funded our work. Without their support, this research would not have been undertaken. Of particular note are our multi-year research sponsors including the Texas Sea Grant program, National Park Service, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, National Marine Fisheries Service, and The Billfish Foundation. |
